Children of Heaven

basically an iranian movie realesed in the yr 1997 and nominated for the oscars in d same yr for the best movie in foreign language category.
a very emotional and touching story about a brother(ali) and his sister(zahra) who cruise their way struggling with acute poverty and severe circumstances.
The story kicks off with the protagonist of the story Ali losing a pair of shoes belonging to his sister and eventually being left a lone pair of shoes having to share between themselves for school,yet the affection between a brother and a sister is visibly palpable through various instances.Not able to tell their father of their problem for financial reasons they share the same pair with great difficulties.
an instant in the story where Ali is punished for wearing dirty shoes and coming to school late can dampen ur hearts for sure,,,,,,,,
but the climax of the story is its greatest part-----------
Ali takes part in a marathon in which the third prize is a pair of shoes which he wants desperately for his sister.the 20 mins of the race is one of best moments of cinematic experience...what happens is ali slows down at the and adjusts himself to be third in the race but
ironically comes first..............
he returns home with a trophy in his hands.he had promised his sister for the pair of shoes but has failed,zahra his sister waiting all the while anxiously for her brother gets excited upon seeing him but unfortunately................
ali and zahra exchange a 3 min long stare full of expression and compassion for each other.zahra den enters her home to look after another infant sister.
ali's shoes are completely destroyed during the long event of the race and his feet are severely injured.
in the end the father is seeing carrying a pair of shoes for each brother and sister.................lots of other things worth watching in the movie...
i am sure this is a very good movie which should entertain u with a certain degree of certitude.
